Picking the Right Size Art for Your Home

Choosing the right size art for your home

Wall art can make the home more inviting and make the home look magnificent, but sometimes the tricky part can be deciding the right size art for your space to bring it all together. You don’t want to get an art piece that may be too big or overwhelming, or a piece that is too small. Your goal is to create something that is cohesive. Searching wall art can be tough so you also want to think about where you will be placing the art.

If you are going to be placing art in a hallway, or are looking for a piece to take up an entire wall space, I recommend an oversized piece, which typically starts at 41 inches or larger. A painting of this size will draw attention as someone enters the room.

If you are looking for a piece that is not as big, but would like for it to hang over furniture, or over a fireplace, I recommend a Large piece, which measures from 33-40 inches. These pieces can stand alone or have matching pieces.

If you are looking for medium sized wall art, such as a piece to hang over your bed, we offer that as well. Medium sized wall art comes in 25-33 inches and can also stand alone or have matching pieces as well.

Smaller art is also available for commission and is available in sizes 18-24 inches. Smaller art will look great in smaller spaces or hung around larger pieces of art to give it that gallery feel

One last thing to consider when choosing a size of wall art is the height of your ceilings. The size that you choose needs to fill the space in both length and height.
