Commission Process

Thank you for your interest in my commission painting process. I offer artwork commissions for both homes and commercial spaces.

It is always a pleasure to receive a request for custom artwork. There are many reasons that commissioning a unique piece of art directly from the artist may be the ideal solution for you. For example, you may like my style, but the color palette or size of my currently available artwork isn’t quite right for your space, or perhaps one of my previous paintings has already sold and you would like to capture a similar look in a new work.

When commissioning on original, hand-painted artwork it is important to recognize that each painting is unique.

Referencing examples of my previous work is often useful to help me understand the elements of my style and features of my work that most appeal to you. Please keep in mind that no two paintings are the same.

Commissioning a painting and being able to communicate directly with the artist is a unique opportunity to create a painting that fits perfectly in your space. Working with my clients to create the perfect art piece that complements not only their space but also their lifestyle and unique personalities is something I truly enjoy.

Inspiration

Most of my paintings have green or neutral tones but also tend to draw inspiration from a collector’s interior space. I love to draw on colors and details in the space to create a concept.

Color Palette

I work with collectors to create a custom color palette that will align with their interior space. I am very happy to receive input on color preferences or design a custom palette that I think works well in your space. I would be happy to make a recommendation based on the intended location of the piece. Please let me know if there are certain color combinations that you are looking for, Such as Earthy tones, warm or cool tones, minimalist style, or light and airy etc

Sizing

It is great to know the approximate wall measurements, but if you are unsure what size I would be happy to make a recommendation based on the intended location of the piece

Time Frame

You can expect a 3-month turnaround time once the application process moves forward. Factors that may determine the final timeframe include my schedule, your design vision and its complexity, the size and number of canvases, any revisions and the final finishing and shipping process. If you require your artwork by a particular date be sure to let me know so I can confirm that it can be completed in time or not.
